1 00:00:14,985 --> 00:12:52,585 Speaker 0: Alright. Here's another rare episode of podcast idiot. I am live right now. My stream is live at stream dot sets and sounds dot com. I have to have a podcasting idiot redirect as well. The the main address of Of the stream is actually k j b dot stream. Not k j b dot stream. It's k j k j b stream. Dot web hop dot m e colon eight thousand slash stream. That's why, you know, I'm gonna make a a domain redirect, a sub domain redirect over to that address. It'll make it a lot easier, for people just click on that. So I am live right now, but for some reason, I am not getting any audio whatsoever out of Curio Castor or from the split kit, and I don't know why. The stream is working because at my website's URL, at the that giant URL I just gave you or stream dot sets and sounds dot com. That one's working just fine. So I'm a little confused as to why there's no audio coming out on in a podcast app, or at least on Keriocaster. Let me check out pod friend. Oh, not pod friend, podverse. Let me get my phone out. Do not disturb. Turn that on. Alright. Opening up podverse. And I'll get to the music show in just a in just a few minutes here. I'm going to yeah. It shows live. Podcast idiot Live. Let's hit the play button. Turn up some volume. Let's see. Does anything come out? I don't Let's see. Anything come out? Let's see. Anything come out? Okay. So it's running on Podverse. That's running just fine off a pod verse. Why is there no audio coming out of Curocaster unless I have something stupid set up on my PC again where I can't hear something for some reason? Although, let's see my speakers. Now it's supposed to come out of my speakers. It says it's running. Audio levels at forty eight. So it should be working. Let's see. How about on telegram? Okay. Booberry. You hear something. Excellent. What what app are you using? Let me let me type that out. What app are you using? Oh, my Google Assistant just turned on for some reason. Okay. You know, I, I'm gonna record an episode of Sats and Sounds. This is like a, okay, direct link. Okay. That one I know works. Can you you think you can try Curio Castor and see if, you can hear the audio coming out of there. It worked in Podverse. The the audio is coming out of Podverse, so I think I have everything set up correctly. But for some reason, in my browser, Nothing's coming out of Keriocaster. Thank you, sir. Or, ma'am, Booberry. I don't really know what you are. It's okay. We don't need labels here. It's the internet. Okay. Yeah. So this is, this is an episode of podcast idiot, which, you know, as you can, or hear, I I barely get everything working. I am the mothman. I don't know what that means, but it's funny. Let's see. So, this is where I I do, like, my experimental podcast stuff. So, you know, where my normal podcast, which I also don't do very regularly, I I satin sounds is probably the most regular one I do, in addition to chasing the yield, what's the link for the Podverse stream? Well, you should be able to just go to, in the app, look up podcast idiot in your app, I'm just typing this out as I talk. It should show I'm live. Oops. Okay. So, yeah, it's chasing the yield. That one's become a little bit more a hit or miss as well, but that one's a financial podcast where I just talk about my style of investing and and what I'm doing and how my Folios perform, but podcast, sorry, sets and sounds has been more fun because you just do music. I do a short show. I do like four songs I start out with three. I'm doing four now. I think today I'm gonna play five. And then at the end of the month or beginning of the month or whatever somewhere around around that that end. I do, like, an hour long show where I replay everything that I played during the previous month. So what I'd like to do is I'd like to do that live, if possible, because it would be kinda cool to have some listeners and maybe I don't know. I I can't do cross app comments yet, but, you know, maybe do something using my phone or, You know, something along those lines using, some kind of chat function or audio, some somehow, because I can I can plug my phone into my podcast rig? It's to it's a zoom podrack p four p four. And I can get the audio through there, so I can even take phone calls and route that through this this little device. It's really very cool. Okay. Cross app is real easy. I just I I I can't wrap my my brain around cross app comments yet. Nothing in Curio Castor there. But the feed says I'm live. Yeah. So here, I'm gonna do some switching of the album art. Which that works just fine. So there's some I have some something's not set up correctly to like Curio Castor hear the audio, and I'm not sure why, because it works in in Podverse. Well, I am going to get moving on the Sats and Sounds show I'm gonna record that. It's gonna this is like a meta episode where I have an episode wrapped in an episode. Oh, wrapped. Yeah. Wrapped in an episode. It's inside. Okay. So let's get that back up here. I'm using my Playit Cartwall. That's how I play out my songs. Let me get my mouse out of my keyboard drawer so it doesn't make so much noise. And if you happen to hear my dogs make noise, That's just the fact of not being professional at anything. Okay. So I got that set up. I'm ready to go there. I should have a split kit and a separate window so I can see that. Shrink that down. Let's see. Oh, that's why I couldn't find it last night. I was looking at Sats and Sounds. Yeah. Well, I I don't wanna experiment with that one because I'm just doing the show. I'd like to keep that one as as pure as I can possibly be where I'm just gonna do the music show. Anything that I talk about would be different. Okay. Let's see. I don't know if this would be it, but take a look at these URLs, that m p three. I tried the dot m p three, but that doesn't work with my stream. The stream that I create puts out a dot m three u, and I don't know if I can or how to change that. But if I if I just do straight stream, if you go in a browser, it goes it goes and pulls up the the audio feed. Yeah. That last one is that's mine. That's my straight up stream. You click that one. You go to, It connects with my computer right here at home. But I can't do a dot m p three I've tried it and it doesn't work. So I don't know in this software. The codec is MP three. It also has, Ogg and Opus, AAC, Flac, and wave, But I don't see how I can change the file extension. And what I'm using to stream is a program called but, b u t t. I've got a link on podcast idiot dot com and one of the previous blog posts to but It made it fairly simple. I had to look into live streaming once in a while when I get home. I got no idea how to do any of that. Neither did I. Rolling on. I had no idea. I struggled with it for a couple of months. I had a lot of fits and starts. I couldn't get it working on my computer at home. But finally, I ran across one YouTube video that was really old, like, twelve years old or something like that about IceCast And I think there was a couple of little things in there that I was missing. I didn't know what to do. What software is the audio stream set up with? I'm using IceCast. Icecast to stream. And then, butt is actually what connects with Icecast. And then there is what's the other software? The other software is called what did I do with it? Where is it? The other software It's called Duck, DUC. And I have a link go to pod if you go to podcast idiot, there's a blog post I had, like, I think it's the last regular blog post, and I had, description of everything that I was doing and links to all the software that I was using. So, okay let me bring back up the split kit. Okay. And bring up my software again. Okay. So now I'm just gonna straight up do my stats and sounds. Show. So bear with me. It sets the sound. I'm recording this on November twenty fifth, but I'm gonna release it on November twenty seven. And the reason is is I'm also live streaming this at the moment at my other podcast podcast idiot. Go to podcast idiot dot com, you can check that out. For this one, you go to sets and sounds dot com. And there's a live link at the top of the website. So it should be active right now. If you go there, you can click on that link. And listen live. But Christmas is almost here. Black Friday is gone, although it's black, weak, and black month now. So I think I'm start out with a Christmas song I found on Wavelake. And it's called Silver Balls by John Dale. 2 00:00:18,539 --> 00:00:20,080 Speaker 0: I am live right now. 3 00:00:22,859 --> 00:00:24,880 Speaker 0: My stream is live at 4 00:00:25,419 --> 00:00:31,405 Speaker 0: stream dot sets and sounds dot com. I have to have a podcasting idiot redirect as well. 5 00:00:33,225 --> 00:00:35,080 Speaker 0: The the main address of 6 00:00:37,880 --> 00:00:40,780 Speaker 0: Of the stream is actually k j b dot stream. 7 00:00:41,160 --> 00:00:43,900 Speaker 0: Not k j b dot stream. It's k j k j b stream. 8 00:00:44,495 --> 00:00:48,275 Speaker 0: Dot web hop dot m e colon eight thousand 9 00:00:48,975 --> 00:00:49,475 Speaker 0: slash 10 00:00:50,415 --> 00:00:53,635 Speaker 0: stream. That's why, you know, I'm gonna make a 11 00:00:56,090 --> 00:01:01,309 Speaker 0: a domain redirect, a sub domain redirect over to that address. It'll make it a lot easier, 12 00:01:02,409 --> 00:01:03,805 Speaker 0: for people just click on that. 13 00:01:04,685 --> 00:01:07,185 Speaker 0: So I am live right now, 14 00:01:07,725 --> 00:01:11,905 Speaker 0: but for some reason, I am not getting any audio whatsoever 15 00:01:13,160 --> 00:01:14,700 Speaker 0: out of Curio Castor 16 00:01:15,480 --> 00:01:16,460 Speaker 0: or from 17 00:01:16,760 --> 00:01:19,020 Speaker 0: the split kit, and I don't know why. 18 00:01:19,480 --> 00:01:21,820 Speaker 0: The stream is working because 19 00:01:22,285 --> 00:01:24,465 Speaker 0: at my website's URL, 20 00:01:25,165 --> 00:01:32,150 Speaker 0: at the that giant URL I just gave you or stream dot sets and sounds dot com. That one's working just fine. 21 00:01:34,450 --> 00:01:35,750 Speaker 0: So I'm a little confused 22 00:01:36,050 --> 00:01:38,550 Speaker 0: as to why there's no audio coming out on 23 00:01:39,745 --> 00:01:42,645 Speaker 0: in a podcast app, or at least on Keriocaster. 24 00:01:43,345 --> 00:01:46,085 Speaker 0: Let me check out pod friend. Oh, not pod friend, podverse. 25 00:01:47,880 --> 00:01:51,420 Speaker 0: Let me get my phone out. Do not disturb. Turn that on. 26 00:01:52,759 --> 00:01:58,674 Speaker 0: Alright. Opening up podverse. And I'll get to the music show in just a in just a few minutes here. 27 00:02:00,575 --> 00:02:02,354 Speaker 0: I'm going to yeah. It shows live. 28 00:02:03,290 --> 00:02:04,830 Speaker 0: Podcast idiot Live. 29 00:02:06,650 --> 00:02:07,790 Speaker 0: Let's hit the 30 00:02:08,410 --> 00:02:10,350 Speaker 0: play button. Turn up some volume. 31 00:02:12,295 --> 00:02:14,155 Speaker 0: Let's see. Does anything come out? 32 00:02:15,735 --> 00:02:16,135 Speaker 0: I don't 33 00:02:17,334 --> 00:02:19,194 Speaker 0: Let's see. Anything come out? 34 00:02:20,450 --> 00:02:23,590 Speaker 0: Let's see. Anything come out? Okay. So it's running on Podverse. 35 00:02:27,385 --> 00:02:36,204 Speaker 0: That's running just fine off a pod verse. Why is there no audio coming out of Curocaster unless I have something stupid set up on my PC again where I can't hear something for some reason? 36 00:02:37,650 --> 00:02:40,629 Speaker 0: Although, let's see my speakers. Now it's supposed to come out of my speakers. 37 00:02:41,410 --> 00:02:42,550 Speaker 0: It says it's running. 38 00:02:44,745 --> 00:02:47,485 Speaker 0: Audio levels at forty eight. So it should be working. 39 00:02:50,265 --> 00:02:51,165 Speaker 0: Let's see. 40 00:02:51,560 --> 00:02:55,020 Speaker 0: How about on telegram? Okay. Booberry. You hear something. Excellent. 41 00:02:55,640 --> 00:02:57,260 Speaker 0: What what app are you using? 42 00:02:57,720 --> 00:02:59,995 Speaker 0: Let me let me type that out. What 43 00:03:00,775 --> 00:03:02,875 Speaker 0: app are you using? 44 00:03:03,815 --> 00:03:04,315 Speaker 0: Oh, 45 00:03:05,255 --> 00:03:07,675 Speaker 0: my Google Assistant just turned on for some reason. 46 00:03:09,300 --> 00:03:12,840 Speaker 0: Okay. You know, I, I'm gonna record an episode of Sats and Sounds. 47 00:03:13,940 --> 00:03:15,080 Speaker 0: This is like a, 48 00:03:15,620 --> 00:03:20,105 Speaker 0: okay, direct link. Okay. That one I know works. Can you you think you can try 49 00:03:20,405 --> 00:03:21,385 Speaker 0: Curio Castor 50 00:03:21,845 --> 00:03:30,380 Speaker 0: and see if, you can hear the audio coming out of there. It worked in Podverse. The the audio is coming out of Podverse, so I think I have everything set up correctly. 51 00:03:31,400 --> 00:03:33,260 Speaker 0: But for some reason, in my browser, 52 00:03:34,254 --> 00:03:35,715 Speaker 0: Nothing's coming out of Keriocaster. 53 00:03:37,215 --> 00:03:39,875 Speaker 0: Thank you, sir. Or, ma'am, Booberry. 54 00:03:41,450 --> 00:03:45,470 Speaker 0: I don't really know what you are. It's okay. We don't need labels here. So, 62 00:04:08,055 --> 00:04:09,515 Speaker 0: this is where I I do, 63 00:04:09,815 --> 00:04:10,795 Speaker 0: like, my experimental 64 00:04:11,740 --> 00:04:12,960 Speaker 0: podcast stuff. 65 00:04:13,900 --> 00:04:24,305 Speaker 0: So, you know, where my normal podcast, which I also don't do very regularly, I I satin sounds is probably the most regular one I do, in addition to chasing the yield, 66 00:04:25,085 --> 00:04:26,705 Speaker 0: what's the link for the Podverse 67 00:04:27,245 --> 00:04:27,745 Speaker 0: stream? 68 00:04:28,880 --> 00:04:30,900 Speaker 0: Well, you should be able to just go to, 69 00:04:34,479 --> 00:04:37,780 Speaker 0: in the app, look up podcast idiot in your app, 70 00:04:39,735 --> 00:04:42,235 Speaker 0: I'm just typing this out as I talk. 71 00:04:46,949 --> 00:04:48,570 Speaker 0: It should show I'm live. 72 00:04:51,509 --> 00:04:52,009 Speaker 0: Oops. 73 00:04:55,125 --> 00:04:55,625 Speaker 0: Okay. 74 00:04:57,525 --> 00:04:59,224 Speaker 0: So, yeah, it's chasing the yield. 75 00:04:59,925 --> 00:05:04,460 Speaker 0: That one's become a little bit more a hit or miss as well, but that one's a financial 76 00:05:05,160 --> 00:05:05,660 Speaker 0: podcast 77 00:05:07,000 --> 00:05:13,825 Speaker 0: where I just talk about my style of investing and and what I'm doing and how my Folios perform, but podcast, 78 00:05:14,285 --> 00:05:20,225 Speaker 0: sorry, sets and sounds has been more fun because you just do music. I do a short show. I do like four songs 79 00:05:20,780 --> 00:05:24,319 Speaker 0: I start out with three. I'm doing four now. I think today I'm gonna play five. 80 00:05:25,259 --> 00:05:30,240 Speaker 0: And then at the end of the month or beginning of the month or whatever somewhere around 81 00:05:30,655 --> 00:05:32,115 Speaker 0: around that that end. 82 00:05:34,175 --> 00:05:39,635 Speaker 0: I do, like, an hour long show where I replay everything that I played during the previous month. 83 00:05:40,560 --> 00:05:43,460 Speaker 0: So what I'd like to do is I'd like to do that live, 84 00:05:43,840 --> 00:05:48,580 Speaker 0: if possible, because it would be kinda cool to have some listeners and maybe 85 00:05:49,115 --> 00:05:52,895 Speaker 0: I don't know. I I can't do cross app comments yet, but, you know, maybe 86 00:05:53,354 --> 00:05:55,615 Speaker 0: do something using my phone or, 87 00:05:58,430 --> 00:06:00,530 Speaker 0: You know, something along those lines using, 88 00:06:02,830 --> 00:06:13,125 Speaker 0: some kind of chat function or audio, some somehow, because I can I can plug my phone into my podcast rig? It's to it's a zoom podrack p four p four. 89 00:06:13,780 --> 00:06:20,759 Speaker 0: And I can get the audio through there, so I can even take phone calls and route that through this this little device. It's really very cool. 90 00:06:21,255 --> 00:06:27,910 Speaker 0: Okay. Cross app is real easy. I just I I I can't wrap my my brain around cross app comments yet. 91 00:06:29,590 --> 00:06:31,610 Speaker 0: Nothing in Curio Castor there. 92 00:06:32,550 --> 00:06:37,370 Speaker 0: But the feed says I'm live. Yeah. So here, I'm gonna do some switching of the album art. 93 00:06:38,345 --> 00:06:40,205 Speaker 0: Which that works just fine. 94 00:06:41,065 --> 00:06:42,665 Speaker 0: So there's some I have some 95 00:06:43,785 --> 00:06:50,010 Speaker 0: something's not set up correctly to like Curio Castor hear the audio, and I'm not sure why, because it works in 96 00:06:50,390 --> 00:06:51,130 Speaker 0: in Podverse. 97 00:06:55,435 --> 00:06:55,935 Speaker 0: Well, 98 00:06:56,475 --> 00:06:58,735 Speaker 0: I am going to get moving on 99 00:06:59,835 --> 00:07:01,305 Speaker 0: the Sats and Sounds show 100 00:07:02,800 --> 00:07:11,140 Speaker 0: I'm gonna record that. It's inside. 101 00:07:13,425 --> 00:07:13,925 Speaker 0: Okay. 102 00:07:15,425 --> 00:07:17,205 Speaker 0: So let's get that back up here. 103 00:07:17,665 --> 00:07:21,365 Speaker 0: I'm using my Playit Cartwall. That's how I play out my songs. 104 00:07:22,910 --> 00:07:28,770 Speaker 0: Let me get my mouse out of my keyboard drawer so it doesn't make so much noise. And if you happen to hear my dogs make noise, 105 00:07:29,365 --> 00:07:33,065 Speaker 0: That's just the fact of not being professional at anything. 106 00:07:35,765 --> 00:07:38,825 Speaker 0: Okay. So I got that set up. I'm ready to go there. 107 00:07:41,320 --> 00:07:42,140 Speaker 0: I should 108 00:07:42,760 --> 00:07:43,260 Speaker 0: have 109 00:07:44,360 --> 00:07:48,060 Speaker 0: a split kit and a separate window so I can see that. 110 00:07:51,705 --> 00:07:52,765 Speaker 0: Shrink that down. 111 00:07:56,650 --> 00:07:57,630 Speaker 0: Let's see. 112 00:08:01,449 --> 00:08:08,825 Speaker 0: Oh, that's why I couldn't find it last night. I was looking at Sats and Sounds. Yeah. Well, I I don't wanna experiment with that one because I'm just doing the show. 113 00:08:09,525 --> 00:08:18,140 Speaker 0: I'd like to keep that one as as pure as I can possibly be where I'm just gonna do the music show. Anything that I talk about would be different. Okay. Let's see. 114 00:08:19,240 --> 00:08:22,300 Speaker 0: I don't know if this would be it, but take a look at these URLs, 115 00:08:23,000 --> 00:08:28,095 Speaker 0: that m p three. I tried the dot m p three, but that doesn't work with my stream. 116 00:08:31,195 --> 00:08:31,935 Speaker 0: The stream 117 00:08:32,440 --> 00:08:35,500 Speaker 0: that I create puts out a dot m three u, 118 00:08:36,120 --> 00:08:39,580 Speaker 0: and I don't know if I can or how to change that. 119 00:08:40,215 --> 00:08:47,035 Speaker 0: But if I if I just do straight stream, if you go in a browser, it goes it goes and pulls up the the audio feed. 120 00:08:50,330 --> 00:08:53,630 Speaker 0: Yeah. That last one is that's mine. That's my straight up stream. 121 00:08:54,170 --> 00:08:56,110 Speaker 0: You click that one. You go to, 122 00:08:57,535 --> 00:09:00,755 Speaker 0: It connects with my computer right here at home. 123 00:09:03,935 --> 00:09:07,950 Speaker 0: But I can't do a dot m p three I've tried it and it doesn't work. 124 00:09:08,650 --> 00:09:10,270 Speaker 0: So I don't know in this software. 125 00:09:11,610 --> 00:09:13,550 Speaker 0: The codec is MP three. 126 00:09:17,165 --> 00:09:18,305 Speaker 0: It also has, 127 00:09:19,325 --> 00:09:20,465 Speaker 0: Ogg and Opus, 128 00:09:21,245 --> 00:09:22,705 Speaker 0: AAC, Flac, and wave, 129 00:09:23,529 --> 00:09:26,029 Speaker 0: But I don't see how I can change the file extension. 130 00:09:28,089 --> 00:09:33,145 Speaker 0: And what I'm using to stream is a program called but, b u t t. 131 00:09:35,705 --> 00:09:39,645 Speaker 0: I've got a link on podcast idiot dot com and one of the previous 132 00:09:40,185 --> 00:09:40,845 Speaker 0: blog posts 133 00:09:41,225 --> 00:09:42,045 Speaker 0: to but 134 00:09:43,910 --> 00:09:45,370 Speaker 0: It made it fairly simple. 135 00:09:47,670 --> 00:09:55,915 Speaker 0: I had to look into live streaming once in a while when I get home. I got no idea how to do any of that. Neither did I. Rolling on. I had no idea. I struggled with it for 136 00:09:56,775 --> 00:09:57,915 Speaker 0: a couple of months. 137 00:09:58,535 --> 00:10:03,300 Speaker 0: I had a lot of fits and starts. I couldn't get it working on my computer at home. But finally, 138 00:10:04,000 --> 00:10:04,900 Speaker 0: I ran across 139 00:10:05,680 --> 00:10:11,380 Speaker 0: one YouTube video that was really old, like, twelve years old or something like that about IceCast 140 00:10:11,995 --> 00:10:16,015 Speaker 0: And I think there was a couple of little things in there that I was missing. I didn't know what to do. 141 00:10:17,515 --> 00:10:22,590 Speaker 0: What software is the audio stream set up with? I'm using IceCast. Icecast to stream. 142 00:10:23,930 --> 00:10:24,590 Speaker 0: And then, 143 00:10:25,850 --> 00:10:28,350 Speaker 0: butt is actually what connects with Icecast. 144 00:10:30,145 --> 00:10:33,925 Speaker 0: And then there is what's the other software? The other software 145 00:10:35,825 --> 00:10:36,645 Speaker 0: is called 146 00:10:37,025 --> 00:10:38,990 Speaker 0: what did I do with it? Where is it? 147 00:10:44,830 --> 00:10:46,050 Speaker 0: The other software 148 00:10:47,395 --> 00:10:49,175 Speaker 0: It's called Duck, DUC. 149 00:10:51,075 --> 00:10:52,135 Speaker 0: And I have 150 00:10:52,755 --> 00:10:53,495 Speaker 0: a link 151 00:10:54,250 --> 00:11:02,735 Speaker 0: go to pod if you go to podcast idiot, there's a blog post I had, like, I think it's the last regular blog post, and I had, description of everything that I was doing 152 00:11:03,935 --> 00:11:06,915 Speaker 0: and links to all the software that I was using. 153 00:11:09,990 --> 00:11:12,970 Speaker 0: So, okay let me bring back up the split kit. 154 00:11:17,774 --> 00:11:18,274 Speaker 0: Okay. 155 00:11:21,214 --> 00:11:26,675 Speaker 0: And bring up my software again. And that sets and sounds for this week for November twenty twenty twenty three. I hope everybody had a happy Thanksgiving. This Christmas coming up, it's gonna get hectic until new year. I'll keep working on this live stream. Hopefully, you can join me. Next Monday with a live stream. Go to satin sounds dot com, hit me up over there. You can, drop me an email at mail at satin sounds dot com. I've got a donate link on the website. You can send me something Alby or Bitcoin. I've got a nice little handy little QR code. Have a great week. Talk to you later. Alright. That was Sats and Sounds. Let me turn the next to have music going over there in the back. Turn that off. Thanks to, everybody over in the v for v, Jackie's telegram. What do you what do you call that? What do you is it a stream? Is it a room? I don't I really don't know. I don't use telegram all that much just really for this. I've used it in the past, in Europe. I I needed a a telegram account in order to use a a rental car app, I think it was. I think that's what it was. But anyway, oh, shoot. You know what? I never did. I, y, y, y, y, because I'm doing too many things at one time. I forgot to change the album art on the last show. Well, it doesn't really matter in the live stream. Well, I guess it does, because then it didn't switch the wallet. So that was something I needed to do when I went to chasing ghosts and when I went back to myself. So, live and learn. I've got too many windows open. I'm trying to do too many things. I'm reading, reading the telegram stream and then, trying to switch all this music and stuff. So okay. So what what you just heard happened there was I I recorded a show called Satin Sound, and it's taking music from, services like, Wavelake, w a v l a k e dot com, where the music artists upload their songs to that service for the purposes of going direct to the listener for payment. It's value for value. So you the listener can designate how much you wanna send to that artist as you're listening. And you can also do something called boostograms, And I'm not sure. I I think it's called boosts almost everywhere. I'm not sure on wave lake. Do they even do boost some wave lake? They do. Right? And that's where if you particularly like the song, or for whatever reason, you know, you can send, extra, not just the streaming sets that you're sending while listening, but say you wanna, like, oh, this is a great tune. You know, you can send an extra thousand sets, ten thousand sets. There's no limit. You could send a hundred thousand sets. And that's that's the whole beauty of this whole new system, new way of of listening to music. And I think You can, you can do this with podcasts as well. So if you're listening to this podcast on a new podcast app, on a modern podcast app that does, streaming payments. You can go to podcast idiot dot com. I've got links to all that kind of stuff. You can send SATS directly to me while you listen, you know. And with the booster grams, you can send a note along with the payment. So that way, if you don't like the way I podcast, you can, you know, say something nasty. It's fine by me. I'll read it. I don't care. If you like something you heard, you know, you can send a a boost that way and send a send a kind note. I've I've received some of those. So with this with this new show, it's it's kinda fun. You you you know, anybody can do this. You know, I I have a my degrees in computer science, but I can't code worth a damn. But what I can do is I'm not afraid to to work on things and figure things out and break them, you know, where they they don't work. Like, I I tried this yesterday. I tried the live streaming yesterday, and I changed the setting, the mix minus on my zoom contract p four. I changed the mix minus from, I turned it on. And the reason I did that, and I I couldn't remember that I changed that setting, is I was practicing with live streaming. And I was I had, playlist set up in VLC that was playing out through my streaming server. And I I had the, the butt app, b u t t, getting the audio from the headphones of the p four. And when I found what was happening when I was playing through VLC, is that I was getting some feedback. I was hearing, you know, it was out of or it was phasing, and I I could hear everything everything was double as if You know, like, when when a radio listener calls into a radio show, and they've got the radio on in the background, and they're talking, and you can hear that, delay. You know, they're they're they're delaying them, the delays coming back through the phone into the radio show. So everything's an echo. So I I turned that on, and that cut off the echo. And I forgot to turn it off again when I went to attempt the live stream and I totally forgot about it. I couldn't remember what I had changed, and it just really flummoxed me. So today, I figured that part out. So now, the problem that I have today is that the audio was coming through on Podverse. That much I saw for sure. And the stream is running just fine. The audio is coming out of the stream just fine, but in Curio Castor, There was no audio. If you hear that sliding around, that's my dog in the background. My labrador retriever getting up and moving around. So that that much I have to figure out yet. But at least I know I can stream live. I know I can do a live show If I feel like it, I'd like to what I'd like to do is get some, like, it would be cool to do, like, listener call ins. And take live calls, while I'm streaming. I'd like to test that out one day. I can I can have people call into my phone? I've I can hook up my phone to my podcast rig and have a those phone calls come in. But right now it's it's tough enough just even keeping track of this telegram stream, you know, and it's It was great though, because people were letting me know, you know, what was going on, and if the stream sounded good, and where they could hear it, where they couldn't. So I think I'll I'll close it out there with that. You can go to podcast idiot dot com and check out I've got links to the software I'm using to live stream. And as well, you can also, donate if you feel like. I've got donate links. I've I think I have a Bitcoin link over there as well. I know I've got the Paypal link. And I think I have an Alby link there as well. Oh, let's see. What do I have? I am not sure. I'll go look at it. My brain is fried from trying to live, do a live show. So that I'm gonna just gonna close it out there and, start editing, do some editing to pull out sets and sounds out of this show so I can post it for, ready for Monday. Thank you again, everybody. And I'll talk to you next time I do this show. Bye bye. I always feel like I, like I need to decompress. After doing a show. I don't even do them that long. This one here is only forty minutes and it was a show within a show. Hit up sets and sounds when it comes out on Monday. Bye bye. 343 00:32:49,125 --> 00:32:55,460 Speaker 0: And that sets and sounds for this week for November twenty twenty twenty three. I hope everybody had a happy Thanksgiving. 344 00:33:00,394 --> 00:33:03,534 Speaker 0: This Christmas coming up, it's gonna get hectic until new year. 345 00:33:08,100 --> 00:33:10,280 Speaker 0: I'll keep working on this live stream. Hopefully, 346 00:33:10,980 --> 00:33:12,280 Speaker 0: you can join me. 347 00:33:13,140 --> 00:33:14,920 Speaker 0: Next Monday with a live stream. 348 00:33:17,515 --> 00:33:31,320 Speaker 0: Go to satin sounds dot com, hit me up over there. You can, drop me an email at mail at satin sounds dot com. I've got a donate link on the website. You can send me something Alby or Bitcoin. I've got a nice little handy little QR code. 349 00:33:34,875 --> 00:33:37,455 Speaker 0: Have a great week. Talk to you later. 350 00:33:52,005 --> 00:33:52,505 Speaker 0: Alright. 351 00:33:52,885 --> 00:33:55,065 Speaker 0: That was Sats and Sounds. 352 00:33:55,365 --> 00:33:58,745 Speaker 0: Let me turn the next to have music going over there in the back. 353 00:33:59,230 --> 00:34:00,450 Speaker 0: Turn that off. 354 00:34:02,990 --> 00:34:04,050 Speaker 0: Thanks to, 355 00:34:04,910 --> 00:34:06,450 Speaker 0: everybody over in the 356 00:34:06,830 --> 00:34:08,060 Speaker 0: v for v, Jackie's 357 00:34:08,375 --> 00:34:08,875 Speaker 0: telegram. 358 00:34:11,335 --> 00:34:12,855 Speaker 0: What do you what do you call that? What do you 359 00:34:13,655 --> 00:34:19,380 Speaker 0: is it a stream? Is it a room? I don't I really don't know. I don't use telegram all that much just really for this. 360 00:34:19,920 --> 00:34:21,300 Speaker 0: I've used it in the past, 361 00:34:21,679 --> 00:34:22,420 Speaker 0: in Europe. 362 00:34:23,679 --> 00:34:24,900 Speaker 0: I I needed a 363 00:34:25,440 --> 00:34:26,429 Speaker 0: a telegram account 364 00:34:27,825 --> 00:34:29,125 Speaker 0: in order to 365 00:34:29,825 --> 00:34:34,005 Speaker 0: use a a rental car app, I think it was. I think that's what it was. 366 00:34:35,549 --> 00:34:36,210 Speaker 0: But anyway, 367 00:34:36,589 --> 00:34:39,889 Speaker 0: oh, shoot. You know what? I never did. I, y, y, y, y, 368 00:34:40,989 --> 00:34:43,489 Speaker 0: because I'm doing too many things at one time. 369 00:34:45,114 --> 00:34:50,335 Speaker 0: I forgot to change the album art on the last show. Well, it doesn't really matter in the live stream. 370 00:34:54,060 --> 00:34:56,800 Speaker 0: Well, I guess it does, because then it didn't switch the wallet. 371 00:34:57,580 --> 00:34:59,680 Speaker 0: So that was something I needed to do 372 00:35:01,295 --> 00:35:04,994 Speaker 0: when I went to chasing ghosts and when I went back to myself. 373 00:35:05,295 --> 00:35:05,795 Speaker 0: So, 374 00:35:06,734 --> 00:35:10,750 Speaker 0: live and learn. I've got too many windows open. I'm trying to do too many things. 375 00:35:11,130 --> 00:35:12,270 Speaker 0: I'm reading, 376 00:35:14,170 --> 00:35:15,310 Speaker 0: reading the telegram 377 00:35:15,850 --> 00:35:16,350 Speaker 0: stream 378 00:35:24,020 --> 00:35:27,060 Speaker 0: and then, trying to switch all this music and stuff. So 379 00:35:28,100 --> 00:35:31,515 Speaker 0: okay. So what what you just heard happened there was I I 380 00:35:32,315 --> 00:35:34,974 Speaker 0: recorded a show called Satin Sound, 381 00:35:35,355 --> 00:35:37,535 Speaker 0: and it's taking music from, 382 00:35:41,010 --> 00:35:46,150 Speaker 0: services like, Wavelake, w a v l a k e dot com, where 383 00:35:46,849 --> 00:35:49,910 Speaker 0: the music artists upload their songs to that service 384 00:35:50,505 --> 00:35:52,365 Speaker 0: for the purposes of going direct 385 00:35:52,984 --> 00:35:53,885 Speaker 0: to the listener 386 00:35:54,585 --> 00:35:55,085 Speaker 0: for 387 00:35:55,465 --> 00:35:58,045 Speaker 0: payment. It's value for value. So you 388 00:35:58,569 --> 00:35:59,309 Speaker 0: the listener 389 00:35:59,609 --> 00:36:02,910 Speaker 0: can designate how much you wanna send to that 390 00:36:03,450 --> 00:36:06,589 Speaker 0: artist as you're listening. And you can also do something called boostograms, 391 00:36:07,835 --> 00:36:10,095 Speaker 0: And I'm not sure. I I think it's called 392 00:36:10,475 --> 00:36:15,935 Speaker 0: boosts almost everywhere. I'm not sure on wave lake. Do they even do boost some wave lake? They do. Right? 393 00:36:19,260 --> 00:36:24,000 Speaker 0: And that's where if you particularly like the song, or for whatever reason, you know, you can send, 394 00:36:24,380 --> 00:36:35,590 Speaker 0: extra, not just the streaming sets that you're sending while listening, but say you wanna, like, oh, this is a great tune. You know, you can send an extra thousand sets, ten thousand sets. There's no limit. You could send a hundred thousand sets. 395 00:36:37,270 --> 00:36:39,610 Speaker 0: And that's that's the whole beauty of 396 00:36:39,910 --> 00:36:40,890 Speaker 0: this whole 397 00:36:41,350 --> 00:36:45,130 Speaker 0: new system, new way of of listening to music. And I think 398 00:36:45,734 --> 00:36:53,755 Speaker 0: You can, you can do this with podcasts as well. So if you're listening to this podcast on a new podcast app, on a modern podcast app that does, 399 00:36:56,200 --> 00:36:57,180 Speaker 0: streaming payments. 400 00:36:58,360 --> 00:37:02,060 Speaker 0: You can go to podcast idiot dot com. I've got links to all that kind of stuff. 401 00:37:04,095 --> 00:37:16,570 Speaker 0: You can send SATS directly to me while you listen, you know. And with the booster grams, you can send a note along with the payment. So that way, if you don't like the way I podcast, you can, you know, 402 00:37:17,030 --> 00:37:20,250 Speaker 0: say something nasty. It's fine by me. I'll read it. I don't care. 403 00:37:21,655 --> 00:37:28,714 Speaker 0: If you like something you heard, you know, you can send a a boost that way and send a send a kind note. I've I've received some of those. 404 00:37:34,760 --> 00:37:44,730 Speaker 0: So with this with this new show, it's it's kinda fun. You you you know, anybody can do this. You know, I I have a my degrees in computer science, but I can't code worth a damn. 405 00:37:45,450 --> 00:37:54,895 Speaker 0: But what I can do is I'm not afraid to to work on things and figure things out and break them, you know, where they they don't work. Like, I I tried this yesterday. I tried the live streaming yesterday, 406 00:37:55,355 --> 00:37:56,815 Speaker 0: and I changed the setting, 407 00:37:57,675 --> 00:38:02,980 Speaker 0: the mix minus on my zoom contract p four. I changed the mix minus from, 408 00:38:03,760 --> 00:38:09,460 Speaker 0: I turned it on. And the reason I did that, and I I couldn't remember that I changed that setting, is I was 409 00:38:10,395 --> 00:38:10,895 Speaker 0: practicing 410 00:38:11,195 --> 00:38:16,255 Speaker 0: with live streaming. And I was I had, playlist set up in VLC 411 00:38:16,955 --> 00:38:19,295 Speaker 0: that was playing out through my streaming server. 412 00:38:20,530 --> 00:38:22,230 Speaker 0: And I I had the, 413 00:38:24,050 --> 00:38:26,070 Speaker 0: the butt app, b u t t, 414 00:38:26,370 --> 00:38:28,070 Speaker 0: getting the audio from 415 00:38:28,525 --> 00:38:31,345 Speaker 0: the headphones of the p four. 416 00:38:31,965 --> 00:38:34,945 Speaker 0: And when I found what was happening when I was playing through VLC, 417 00:38:35,660 --> 00:38:37,760 Speaker 0: is that I was getting some feedback. 418 00:38:38,060 --> 00:38:43,440 Speaker 0: I was hearing, you know, it was out of or it was phasing, and I I could hear everything everything was double as if 419 00:38:44,045 --> 00:38:51,425 Speaker 0: You know, like, when when a radio listener calls into a radio show, and they've got the radio on in the background, and they're talking, and you can hear that, 420 00:38:52,125 --> 00:38:52,625 Speaker 0: delay. 421 00:38:53,330 --> 00:38:55,170 Speaker 0: You know, they're they're they're delaying them, 422 00:38:55,890 --> 00:38:57,830 Speaker 0: the delays coming back through the phone 423 00:38:58,130 --> 00:38:59,670 Speaker 0: into the radio show. 424 00:39:00,050 --> 00:39:01,270 Speaker 0: So everything's an echo. 425 00:39:01,755 --> 00:39:04,974 Speaker 0: So I I turned that on, and that cut off the 426 00:39:05,275 --> 00:39:09,375 Speaker 0: echo. And I forgot to turn it off again when I went to attempt 427 00:39:10,154 --> 00:39:16,030 Speaker 0: the live stream and I totally forgot about it. I couldn't remember what I had changed, and it just 428 00:39:16,330 --> 00:39:19,870 Speaker 0: really flummoxed me. So today, I figured that part out. 429 00:39:20,174 --> 00:39:20,994 Speaker 0: So now, 430 00:39:21,454 --> 00:39:23,234 Speaker 0: the problem that I have today 431 00:39:23,934 --> 00:39:26,515 Speaker 0: is that the audio was coming through on 432 00:39:27,454 --> 00:39:27,954 Speaker 0: Podverse. 433 00:39:28,400 --> 00:39:30,180 Speaker 0: That much I saw for sure. 434 00:39:31,280 --> 00:39:36,020 Speaker 0: And the stream is running just fine. The audio is coming out of the stream just fine, but in Curio Castor, 435 00:39:37,105 --> 00:39:44,005 Speaker 0: There was no audio. If you hear that sliding around, that's my dog in the background. My labrador retriever getting up and moving around. 436 00:39:46,560 --> 00:39:47,060 Speaker 0: So 437 00:39:47,839 --> 00:39:50,900 Speaker 0: that that much I have to figure out yet. But at least 438 00:39:51,839 --> 00:39:55,380 Speaker 0: I know I can stream live. I know I can do a live show 439 00:39:55,795 --> 00:39:57,335 Speaker 0: If I feel like it, 440 00:39:58,195 --> 00:40:03,175 Speaker 0: I'd like to what I'd like to do is get some, like, it would be cool to do, like, listener call ins. 441 00:40:03,990 --> 00:40:05,450 Speaker 0: And take live calls, 442 00:40:06,150 --> 00:40:07,210 Speaker 0: while I'm streaming. 443 00:40:08,950 --> 00:40:14,705 Speaker 0: I'd like to test that out one day. I can I can have people call into my phone? I've I can hook up my phone to 444 00:40:15,005 --> 00:40:18,305 Speaker 0: my podcast rig and have a those phone calls come in. 445 00:40:19,005 --> 00:40:23,020 Speaker 0: But right now it's it's tough enough just even keeping track of 446 00:40:24,680 --> 00:40:25,980 Speaker 0: this telegram stream, 447 00:40:26,280 --> 00:40:33,635 Speaker 0: you know, and it's It was great though, because people were letting me know, you know, what was going on, and if the stream sounded good, and where they could hear it, where they couldn't. 448 00:40:35,820 --> 00:40:41,119 Speaker 0: So I think I'll I'll close it out there with that. You can go to podcast idiot dot com 449 00:40:41,500 --> 00:40:45,735 Speaker 0: and check out I've got links to the software I'm using to live stream. 450 00:40:46,275 --> 00:40:47,975 Speaker 0: And as well, you can also, 451 00:40:50,835 --> 00:40:52,375 Speaker 0: donate if you feel like. 452 00:40:52,710 --> 00:40:54,089 Speaker 0: I've got donate links. 453 00:40:54,710 --> 00:40:57,769 Speaker 0: I've I think I have a Bitcoin link over there as well. 454 00:40:58,230 --> 00:41:02,595 Speaker 0: I know I've got the Paypal link. And I think I have an Alby link there as well. 455 00:41:04,175 --> 00:41:06,835 Speaker 0: Oh, let's see. What do I have? 456 00:41:10,460 --> 00:41:18,305 Speaker 0: I am not sure. I'll go look at it. My brain is fried from trying to live, do a live show. So that I'm gonna just gonna close it out there and, 457 00:41:19,505 --> 00:41:26,190 Speaker 0: start editing, do some editing to pull out sets and sounds out of this show so I can post it for, ready for Monday. 458 00:41:27,529 --> 00:41:29,069 Speaker 0: Thank you again, everybody. 459 00:41:30,250 --> 00:41:32,990 Speaker 0: And I'll talk to you next time I do this show. Bye bye. 460 00:41:43,400 --> 00:41:45,980 Speaker 0: I always feel like I, like I need to decompress. 461 00:41:48,825 --> 00:41:50,205 Speaker 0: After doing a show. 462 00:41:51,785 --> 00:41:56,285 Speaker 0: I don't even do them that long. This one here is only forty minutes and it was a show within a show. 463 00:42:03,795 --> 00:42:05,895 Speaker 0: Hit up sets and sounds when it comes out on Monday. 464 00:42:06,595 --> 00:42:07,255 Speaker 0: Bye bye.
